Hating Sin!

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God."

Yes, yes we do. Our pastor spoke this morning about sin. He talked about our sinful nature and how it is degenerative. Meaning that it only gets worse and worse over time. Sin is typically a "no no" topic in many churches. I think this is mainly due to the fact that churches are suppose to be "safe" places and welcome those that are lost. This is true but it is also a place where we must recognize how truly sinful we are and that nothing we can do ourselves will get us into heaven. I think many of us spend a lot of time rationalizing things in our heads to make ourselves feel better about the sins in our lives. This is so dangerous - most of the time this works and we spend who knows how much time trapped in a world that we have "deemed" ok for ourselves. Big or small, quick or long - sin is still sin. It is so important that we recognize ALL sin and learn to hate it. Christ hates all sin - so should we.
