Drama in my hometown

For those of you who haven't heard the latest news from Waycross. There were several 3rd grade students arrested for plotting to harm (could have killed) their teacher. They brought weapons to school including broken knifes, duct tape & crystal paperweight. They were going to knock her out & then stab her. Why? Because she did her job and disciplined one of them for standing in their chair. Are you kidding me? Why is an 8/9 year old standing in their chair to begin with? I just don't understand. Luckily authorities were informed before any harm was done. I hope strict punishment is enforced upon these children. They could have done so much harm to not only their teacher but to fellow students. This saddens me that this happened in my small and somewhat naive hometown. I guess that no place is safe and evilness surrounds us all.
