I went today for my 36/37 week appt. At this point I am going every week. Today I had a test for Group Strep B (GSB). Group Strep B is bacterium that causes life-threatening infections in newborns. Pregnant women are tested for this during 35 to 37 weeks because they can pass it along to the newborn at birth. I'll find out at my next visit how that turns out. Wish me (us) luck. So, the doctor says we are moving right along. She is measuring good, in a good position and very low. He urged me to pack a hospital bag this weekend if I hadn't already. I keep telling myself to do that but I keep putting it off. I guess I won't anymore. At this point, it could be anytime. Isn't that a crazy thought?
Things seem to be coming together as best they can for someone who's life is about to change drastically. Adam and I have our infant CPR class tomorrow and then we will interview another nanny candidate afterwards. We are also going to interview another lady on Sunday. That will make 3. We interviewed a super nice lady last Sunday who has an 8 month of her own. She will be hard to top but it is good to have options. So wish us luck with that too.
Until then, keep us all in your prayers & I'll keep you posted!
