Just say no to turbo tax! I decided to try turbo tax this year basically because it was cheaper than taking my stuff to an accountant like I have typically done in the past. I asked several people who had used turbo tax in the past their thoughts and got pretty good reviews so thought "why not". Never again!!!
I tried to make a change and everything just got all screwed up and calling customer service is a war in itself. I spoke to someone their who sounded like she knew less about what was going on that I did. I tried the "chat online" option and I ended up waiting for about 20 minutes and got no response. Then, I sent an email and got a response back relatively quickly but had nothing to do with the question I asked. Then on top of things they sent me a "customer service rating" survey...are you kidding? Do you honestly want me to feel this out? So, being the good and responsible consumer that I am - I filled it out. I was completely honest too and it felt good!
Turbo Tax works for a lot of people but for me I'm going to stick with an accountant in the future.
