When Tragedy Strikes
It has been a tragic few days across the southeast. With the weather hitting us hard on Wednesday and then a horrible bus accident this morning on the Atlanta interstate 75, a lot of people have lost their homes and loved ones. We are never aware of when things like this will happen. There is no way of knowing when tragedy could strike our lives. Do we live each day in fear of the unknown or do we say "carpe diem" and seize the day? I think we do a little of both. We can't live our lives in fear for that is not really living at all nor is it trusting that God will take care of us. I don't think we should live our lives on the other end of the spectrum either by making foolish and reckless decisions. We should live each day as if it were given to us like a gift - because it is a gift! It is easy to look at the bad times or bad days & dwell on them but it is during those bad times we learn a lot about ourselves. Rest assured that we have a loving and faithful Father who knows far beyond our comprehension. All things work together for good for those that love Him.
